So this Halloween I went to the costume Carnaval in West Hollywood. It was an interesting experience. honestly, it's sort of weird. It's just a long street where people walk up and down to see people dressed up crazy. Good to go at least once, but I wouldn't go again unless I was someone to look at...
highlights include:
1. Not to many cheerleaders. That made me happy.
2. Crazy cross-dressing women/men. Who's surprised?
3. Cool Flinstones car. There were 4 people walking the car...it rocked!
4. A great burrito, with wonderful seats to watch the crazies.
5. Listening to the HANSENS play Um Bop..while twirling my hair. I love acting 12.
On a totally other note, now for those of you who want G- rated material, read no further....but how does one go about creating a 3 person party? You get what I'm asking...right? I've had one before, but the circumstance was with me and a guy's gf. He was sort of cheating on her with me... I don't want the guy I want involved cheating on me with another girl.
I've been thinking a lot about it. Thanks roommate, for the sex-novels....

1:30am, and I was discussing life, liberty and a country's pursuit of politics.
One would hope that I add something to the world- be it good, bad, or indifferent- Me
Last night was fabulous. Every so often I am able to find someone who happens to tolerate me well who is willing to allow me a little silly time. Where I can ask asinine things, point out oddities, be a little bit mean, and allow my mind to wander. Last night I was lucky enough to have this fun-loving attitude devolve into a 3 hour discussion about... well... about everything.
All I know about the discussion is that I won. I don't know if we were debating anything, but I still won.
History, religion, politics, education, stereotypes...nothing was off limits. Those of you who know me might be a little shocked...me talk about politics??? We discussed religion and NO ONE got upset. My roommate came in and got some water; in those brief moments she became so engrossed by the complex train of thought we created that she sat listening for 20 minutes before we even noticed.
I think the conversation started with me, while eating a strawberry popsicle, how great it would have been if Holocaust victims had strawberry popsicles in the concentration camps. Now, don't judge me, but the basis of this comment was that if they had strawberry popsicles (i just LOVE those words) they wouldn't have had to prick their fingers to try to make their lips and cheeks red and rosy. That's why you eat strawberry popsicles. They make your lips pretty!
While the conversation may have started on a rather ridiculous notion, it progressed and progressed and just kept going. It started at around 10:30pm, and ended at 1:30am. It could have gone on, but we were tired.
It's these conversations that let me know that love is not about sex or romance; intimacy can be a long conversation on a couch. I am definitely in love.

Friday: Shabbat dinner and Shul with my cousin Joseph and his family. The dinner was wonderful, some of the best chicken I've ever eaten. Then home to intercept my couches. YEAH FURNITURE! It was Rachel's brithday, so we were celebrating with drinks and some of her friends.
Saturday: Shopping for my trip, the Norton Simon museum, Transformers the movie, and then dinner at Il Fornaio. I think it was a fun day, and I got a 'lot' accomplished. I'm pretty psyched about my boots, even though they were $100.
On Saturday night my roommate needed to move my car out of the way. Unfortunately I was in a movie, therefore I didn't hear her call. At 10:00 when I am listening to my messages I get the first one from her: "I need to go to work, and your car is in the way. Please give me a call." I continued listening to my messages and recieve another from her: "So, I tried to use my car to push your car out of the way. I ended up damaging my car, but your car is fine. So, i'm not going to work tonight, but don't worry, your car is fine."
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!! She tried to USE HER CAR to PUSH MINE out of the way. It's in first gear, parking break up... WOW!
She tried to 'polish' it out. I know I should take to a repair shop and have her pay to fix it, but I feel really bad.....thoughts???
Sunday: Breakfast at Roscoe's with my roommate and Matt. I love their food. if you don't know about it, it's fried chicken and waffles. Don't knock it tell you've tried it. Then laundry and finally a movie with Mike on my new couches. YEAH!

new Roommate, more kickball and disapearing friends
So....my new roommate moved in yesterday. While I was reasonably excited about this, I've been thrown a few curveballs. In the past 24 hours (in truth she hasn't lived here even that long) she:
- Forgot to lock the door when she went to bed.
- Took dishes out of the sink and put them on the counter...????
- slept on the floor in a sleeping bag, but moved in with soap detergent...??
- Forgot to lock the door on her way out- while I was sleeping
- Put the ugliest zebra print fuzzy pillow in the living room. OH MY G-D!
Perhaps I am being to hard on her....I just don't understand. Hopefully things will work out fine-all will be well.
On another note kickball has gone from relaxed issues and drinking to tension, winning/loosing, and drama! My Studio kickball team has broken up into two different teams: the Pandamoniums and Grey Austin's Conservatory. One is the 'fun laid-back let's not really win' team, the other is the 'competitive let's have practice team.' I want to be competitive, but practice just dosen't work for me.... I'm a little annoyed that there has to be a division. But I'll be in Europe for most of the season...let the chips fall where they may.
HALLIE STERN! CALL ME! Goodness gracious...I KNEW this was going to happen. While in Florida- she called me back. Now New York has gotten a hold of her, and like Caitlin before her, her cell phone has stopped working, land-lines only call within the city and her facebook account doesn't log-in. She has ceased to exist to the outside of NY world. **okay, okay**
I'm a bit dramatic. But really- I was totally not ready for Hallie to leave- and have my good roommate move out on top of that. I need my girlfriends back! Who else can I talk to about the fact that for some reason I can only seem to find guys who are almost 30...or over 30?
Okay- I guess that's all for now. i'm looking forward to Israel, Jordan, Turkey and Greece. Excited about a new world to conquer.
